Welcome Barbeque – Monday 4th September
All participants are invited to the Welcome Barbeque which will take place outside the conference venue on the beach from 19:00 – 23:00. In case of rain the party will be moved indoors. Please bring your conference badge, which will be available to collect from 18:00 from the registration desk in the Great Hall foyer.

All participants are invited to the social event which is taking place in BUNKERS from 19:00. Drinks and light refreshments are included. All attendees can enjoy the fun at two crazy golf courses, karaoke, pool, electro darts, and ping pong and attend one of the tournaments 🙂.
Transfer from the Bay Campus via shuttle buses will be available at the following times:
Bay Campus to bottom of Wind Street
Departure time: 18.00 and 18.30 (3 buses leaving per time slot)
Return Time: 21.30, 22.00, 22.30 (2 buses leaving per time slot)

Formal Dinner – Wednesday 6th September
For those who registered for this event – The formal dinner will take place in the conference venue at Sir Stanley Clarke Auditorium (located on the first floor of the Great Hall), starting from 19:00. Like the rest of the conference, there is no dress code for this dinner. Please bring your conference badge.
EXCURSION to Langland Bay, FRIDAY 8th September 09:00 – 13:30
Langland Bay is located 6km from Swansea University and offers a great range of facilities. The beach holds both Blue Flag and Seaside Awards and explorers can enjoy the coastal clifftop walk around to Caswell Bay. More information and a virtual tour can be found here
On the excursion we will start at Limeslade and walk along the coastal path to Langland. This section of coastal path is wheelchair accessible and is suitable for the casual walker.
Lunch will be at your own cost at Surfside Cafe or in similar local restaurants.
Transportation: Transport will be arranged by the RSECon organisers, you will be required to sign-up. Pick up will be at conference venue and drop off at Swansea train station.

- Walk from Limeslade to Langland

- 1pm: Bus from Langland to train station
Optional
Those with later trains or who are staying on are welcome to stay and continue exploring the area, taking a service bus back at their own leisure, or walking through Mumbles into Swansea. To get to the station via service bus takes around 50 minutes, requiring one change, and walking is 2.5 hours if you take the scenic coastal route. (If you take this option, an ice cream in Joe’s is recommended!)

Dan yr Ogof, at the National Showcaves Centre for Wales, is a 17-kilometre long cave system in south Wales, about 5 miles north of Ystradgynlais and 15 miles southwest of Brecon, in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
